According to the introduction, this comparative test purchased 10 products produced by 10 manufacturers, basically covering the mainstream brands in the market, and the purchase price ranged from 129 yuan/set to 600 yuan/set. In the test, the ultraviolet protection items are tested to determine whether they meet the standard requirements; Five items including mite removal rate, noise, endurance, UV intensity and user experience were evaluated by star rating.

It was found that 8 kinds of mite-eliminator products with ultraviolet function meet the requirements (the other 2 types have no ultraviolet function).

In terms of the most critical indicators of mite-removal rate, QB/T5363-2019 Mite-removal Machine (recommended standard) requires that the mite-removal rate should not be less than 80%. The test found that the mite-removal effect of the three mite-removal instruments with the brands of Midea/Midea, Sawadka/SWDK and Lakejimi/JIMMY was more than 90%, with outstanding performance. The effect of the six mite-eliminating instruments is more than 80%, with excellent performance. The mite removal rate of the samples with the brand of Rongshida/Royalstar and the model of RSD-CZX09 was 72.4% (the comparative test results were only responsible for the purchased samples), and the performance was poor.

In addition, 58 volunteers were recruited for user experience evaluation in this comparative test, and it was found that the user experience of 8 types of mite eliminators was good (long battery life, low noise), and individual projects needed to be further improved.

The Committee reminds consumers that in actual use, the mite-removal effect of the mite-removal instrument is basically not directly related to whether it has the ultraviolet function, the beating function, the heating function and the acoustic function, but related to the size of the suction. The greater the suction, the better the mite-removal effect. Products with large nominal rated power may not have good mite-removal effect. Consumers cannot judge the mite-removal effect only by the nominal rated power of the product.
